Job summary

HDR Engineering is seeking a Substation Project Manager to join our growing Power Delivery team with opportunities in multiple locations including Portland and Ashland.

You will manage substation projects end-to-end, developing scope, schedules, budgets, and coordinating design teams to ensure quality and on-time delivery. The role also supports client management and opportunities in the region and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum 2 years of project management experience.
• FE/PE license preferred; PMP acceptable in lieu of PE.
• Experience with system projection and planning, distribution and transmission lines, and public involvement is a plus.
• Strong organizational, PM and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage Substation projects from scope to closeout.
• Lead project teams, mentor engineers and coordinator staff.
• Oversee schedule, budget, quality, and stakeholder engagement.
• Coordinate with client management and regional leadership.
• Support marketing and proposal development for new opportunities.
