Job summary

HDR is an employee-owned firm delivering engineering and technology solutions. The Portland area role focuses on leading multi-location projects in the Power delivery space, aligning technical execution with project management, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Minimum 7 years related experience.
• Minimum 2 years project management experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• MS Office and MS Project experience are required.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Must participate in employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Develops a partnership with Project Managers to align scope, schedules, budgets, and client management with technical execution.
• Work with leadership to develop processes for quality control and project delivery.
• Create internal trainings and mentorship plans for junior staff.
• Develop and implement a project execution plan for the technical aspects of projects.
• Assign tasks and provide technical guidance to project team members.
• Support scope, schedule, budget, and proposal development and risk management.
• Coordinate quality checks and reviews to deliver high-quality client deliverables.
• Lead, mentor, train, or supervise project engineers and designers as needed.
• Provide leadership across concurrent projects and multiple locations.
• Attend training to grow technical expertise and contribute to technical papers/presentations.
