Job summary

HDR is seeking a Substation Project Manager to join our Power Delivery team with opportunities in Anchorage and other locations. You will manage substation projects of varying sizes, coordinating design teams to deliver on time and within budget.

Responsibilities include scope/development, team formation, project execution, quality control, and closeout, while supporting client management and regional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of project management experience.
• FE or PE license preferred; PMP acceptable in lieu of PE.
• Experience with power delivery systems, planning, and permitting is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead substation engineering projects from start to closeout.
• Direct, mentor, and supervise project engineers and staff.
• Ensure schedule, budget, scope, and quality controls are maintained.
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, and stakeholders as needed.
• Support business development and marketing efforts for new opportunities.
