Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Substation Engineer to support the design of high and extra-high voltage substations and transmission systems in a collaborative team environment.

You will prepare procurement specs, engage in design reviews, and coordinate field verification. The role embraces a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two remote, with relocation support available where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering applications to project design.
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D and interpret drawings.
• Proficiency with MS Office and strong communication skills.
• Familiarity with AI applications and agentic AI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work on project teams designing high and extra-high voltage substations and transmission systems.
• Prepare specifications for procurement of major electrical power equipment and services.
• Travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to sites for coordination and verification.
