Job summary

Sargent Lundy seeks a Substation Engineer to design high and extra-high voltage substations and transmission systems. You will prepare procurement specifications and collaborate with project teams on engineering solutions.

The role includes travel to client and vendor offices as well as site visits for coordination and verification. A hybrid schedule keeps three days in the office and two days remote.

Qualifications

• This position requires a Bachelor of Science degree with strong preference in an Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace or Chemical Engineering field, and related coursework including Coding, 3D Modeling/Design, and AI experience.
• Understanding applied electrical engineering principles for project design.
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D and create technical drawings and models.

• Work on design of high and extra-high voltage substations and transmission systems.
• Prepare specifications for procurement of major electrical equipment and services.
• Travel to client/vendor offices for reviews and to sites for coordination and verification.
