Job summary
Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Substation Engineer to join project teams designing high and extra-high voltage substations and transmission systems. You will help prepare procurement specifications and may travel to client sites for reviews and coordination.
The role supports a hybrid work arrangement, requiring three days in the office and two days remote, with a generous relocation package based on location. A BS in engineering and strong communication skills are essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree with strong preference in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace or Chemical Engineering or relevant coursework.
- Knowledge of 3D modeling/design and the ability to visualize parts in 3D.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Work on project teams designing new high voltage and extra-high voltage substations and transmission systems.
- Prepare specifications for procurement of major electrical power equipment and related installation services.
- Travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and site coordination.
- Hybrid work arrangement with three days in the office and two remote days.
