Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Substation Engineer to utilize and expand your engineering background. You will join project teams designing high voltage and extra-high voltage substations and transmission systems, and prepare procurement specifications for major equipment.

The role includes travel for design reviews and site coordination, with a hybrid work arrangement: three days in the office and two days remote. A relocation package may be available depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace or Chemical Engineering with relevant coursework.
• Ability to apply electrical engineering concepts to a project design.
• 3D visualization of parts without CAD tools.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on project teams designing high voltage/substation and transmission systems.
• Develop power transmission designs and procurement specifications for major equipment.
• Travel to client/vendor offices and site locations for reviews and field verification.
• Work in a hybrid setup: three days in office, two remote.
• Relocation package may be offered depending on location.
