Job summary
Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Substation Engineer to join our team. The role involves working on high and extra-high voltage substations and transmission systems, with opportunities to travel for design reviews and site coordination.
This position supports a hybrid work arrangement with three days in the office and up to two remote days. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor of Science in engineering (ABET-accredited preferred) with strong design skills, knowledge of electrical engineering
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science engineering degree with strong preference in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace or Chemical Eng; includes Coding, 3D Modeling/Design and AI experience.
- ABET-accredited engineering program preferred; FE exam and EIT beneficial.
- Experience or familiarity with AI applications and agents is valued.
Responsibilities
- Design of new high voltage and extra-high voltage substations and transmission systems on project teams.
- Prepare specifications for procurement of major electrical power equipment and related installation services.
- Travel to client and vendor sites for design reviews and construction coordination.
