Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Substation Engineer to contribute to high voltage substations and transmission system designs. You will collaborate on projects with engineers and participate in procurement specification creation, with travel to client and vendor sites as needed.

The role supports a hybrid work arrangement, requiring three days in the office and two days remote, with relocation considerations depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering required with strong preference for E, M, Aerospace or Chemical engineering or related coursework (Coding, 3D Modeling/Design, AI).
• Understanding of electrical engineering principles and project design.
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D and produce technical drawings or models.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on design of new HV and EHV substations and transmission systems.
• Prepare specifications for procurement of major electrical equipment and installation services.
• Travel to client/vendor sites for design reviews and field verification as needed.
