Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Substation Engineer to join a project team focused on detailed electrical design and project management for high voltage substations. You will contribute to concept development, planning, and execution, while collaborating with engineers and designers to deliver compliant, cost-effective solutions.

The role offers a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two remote days, and a relocation package may be available depending on your location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Engineering degree required.
• 3+ years of experience in Medium Voltage power system design.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects under budget and time constraints.
• Experience tracking schedules, expenditures, and client communications.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience reviewing designs drawn by others.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in project conceptualization, work planning, and execution.
• Tackle challenging electrical engineering issues and troubleshoot problems.
• Prepare reports presenting technical and project information for clients and SL formats.
• Share knowledge with peers through SL Communities of Practice.
• May travel to client sites as needed.
