Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Substation Engineer 2 in the United States, with a hybrid role typically three days in the office and two remote days. The position emphasizes conceptualization, planning, and execution of high voltage substation projects in a collaborative team setting.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor of Science in engineering with power/utility experience and strong communication skills. A relocation package may be offered depending on location and needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in EE/ME/AE/CHE with coding, 3D modeling and AI experience.
• Knowledge of design techniques for technical plans and 3D visualization.
• 1+ years experience in the power/electric utility industry.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience reviewing design drawings.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in project conceptualization, work planning, and project execution.
• Support challenging assignments that include investigating, trouble-shooting, and solving electrical engineering issues.
• Prepare reports that present technical and project information in client formats.
• Develop career via peer-learning through Communities of Practice.
• May travel to client sites as needed.
