SOLVE Energy, Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer II, Substation for remote engagement across the United States. You will own preliminary 10% design, develop single-line diagrams, equipment sizing, and layout refinements to support estimating and BD kickoff.

You will coordinate with cross-functional teams, review documents, and escalate risks while ensuring compliance with utility interconnection requirements and standards. A strong background in electrical substation design is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in electrical substation engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar software.
• Strong understanding of substation design principles and standards (IEEE, NEC, NESC).
• Experience with building codes, interconnection requirements, and solar development regulations.

Responsabilités

• Own the first-pass preliminary substation design approach for assigned pursuits and projects.
• Review client documents, exhibits, interconnection agreements, and owner standards to identify requirements and risks.
• Serve as primary substation design SME coordinating inputs from engineering, procurement, estimating, and scheduling.

Formation

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

3+ years electrical substation engineering experience

Ability to travel up to 10%
