Leidos Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Power Delivery Solutions division, overseeing substation projects for electric utilities across the Northern and Midwestern US.

This role supports remote and hybrid work, with a preference for candidates located in or near the greater Chicago area to best serve local utility clients and internal teams. Opportunities include PMP certification, leadership training, mentorship, and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance or related field.
• 7+ years PM experience in electric power industry (BS) OR 6+ years with Master's.
• Experience with electric utilities and power infrastructure projects.
• Experience with project financials, bid proposals and cost estimates.
• Portfolio management and contract management experience.

Responsabilités

• Lead a team of project managers to deliver substation engineering projects for electric utility clients.
• Own portfolio performance: cost, schedule, and scope.
• Drive strategic initiatives, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.
• Mentor and develop PM staff; promote collaboration and learning.
• Interface with clients and stakeholders to address issues and report progress.
• Oversee bid documents, cost estimates, and RFP responses.
• Manage monthly invoicing, accruals and AR processes; identify BD opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with contracts and quality standards.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, teams, subcontractors, and support staff.
• Travel as needed (likely <25%).
