Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Power Delivery Solutions to oversee substation engineering projects for electric utility clients across the Northern and Midwestern US. You will lead a team of PMs, manage portfolio performance, and drive strategic initiatives.

You will mentor staff, coordinate with clients and internal teams, and ensure successful delivery while maintaining quality and contract compliance. Hybrid/remote work is available, with preference for those near Chicago.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance or related field required.
• 7+ years of relevant PM experience in electric power or related field with BS; or 6+ years with Master’s degree.
• Experience with electric utilities required and understanding of electric power infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of project managers to deliver substation engineering design projects for electric utility clients.
• Own portfolio performance: cost, schedule, scope management.
• Drive strategic initiatives to improve processes and operations.
• Mentor and develop PM staff and foster collaboration.
• Interface with clients and internal stakeholders to address issues and mitigate risks.
• Oversee bid document preparation, cost estimates, and RFP responses.
• Manage monthly client invoicing, accruals, and AR processes.
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities for growth.
• Ensure contract compliance and quality control.
• Maintain regular communication with stakeholders across project portfolio.
• Travel to client sites as needed (<25%).
