Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps members coach and mentor students to support academic success, attendance, and positive behaviors across elementary, middle, and high school levels. You’ll collaborate with teachers and use data to monitor progress and adjust interventions.

City Year provides 2–4 weeks of training at the start of the year, along with a bi-weekly living stipend and a comprehensive benefits package. You’ll work with partner teachers and school staff every step of the way.

Responsibilities

• Coaching and mentoring students to achieve academic success
• Support teachers with classroom instruction and student progress
• Plan and monitor individual student progress and participate in reviews of data
• Create engaging and safe classroom spaces in collaboration with teachers
• Support extended day and after-school programs and events for student engagement
