Job summary

City Year seeks entry-level AmeriCorps members to coach and mentor students across elementary to high school. You will help students achieve academic success, attendance, and positive school behavior while partnering with teachers and staff.

This paid, full-time opportunity includes initial training and ongoing support to implement classroom and program activities that benefit students and schools.

Qualifications

• Experience in coaching and mentoring students is preferred.
• Ability to support diverse learners in elementary to high school.
• Willingness to participate in training and collaborate with teachers.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students to improve academic performance and attendance.
• Plan and monitor individual student progress with teachers.
• Assist in in-class instruction and student support activities.
• Support school initiatives and after-school programs.
• Create a safe, engaging classroom environment in collaboration with staff.
