Job summary

City Year in the United States is seeking an entry-level Student success coach and mentor to support students across elementary, middle and high school. In this AmeriCorps service, you will coach and mentor students to achieve academic success, improve attendance, and develop positive behaviors at school.

You will plan and monitor student progress, work with teachers on in-class support, and participate in training at the start of the year.

Qualifications

• Be 17–25 by July 1, 2025.
• Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
• Be able to begin City Year by July/August 2025.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students 1:1 and in small groups.
• Plan and monitor student progress and collaborate with teachers.
• Support in-class instruction, breakout spaces and student assistance.
• Support extended day and virtual programming for students.
