Job summary

City Year, an AmeriCorps program, seeks an entry-level student success coach and mentor to support students across elementary, middle and high schools. You will coach and mentor students, help them achieve academic progress, improve attendance, and develop positive behaviors in the classroom with teachers.

You will plan and monitor individual progress, participate in in-class supports, and engage families through school initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Coaching and mentoring students
• Plan and monitor progress
• Work with teachers on in-class instruction and student support
• Support academic coaching and interpersonal development for students
• Develop literacy and numeracy skills with varied activities
• Create engaging and safe classroom spaces in collaboration with teachers
• Support school-wide initiatives to increase student engagement and family involvement
• Provide extended day and virtual programming support, including enrichment and leadership development
