Job summary

City Year is seeking an entry-level AmeriCorps member to coach and mentor students across elementary to high school levels. You will support academic success, attendance, and positive behaviors, working closely with teachers and staff to monitor progress and tailor in-class support.

The role includes 2–4 weeks of training at the start of the year, with ongoing collaboration to implement school-wide initiatives and student development programs.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training provided at start of year (2–4 weeks).
• Ability to work with teachers and school staff to support students.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students 1:1 and in small groups.
• Support literacy and math skills through varied activities.
• Help create a positive, safe classroom environment with teachers.
