Job summary

City Year is seeking an entry-level, full-time City Year AmeriCorps member to coach and mentor students across elementary to high school levels. You will support academics, attendance, and positive behaviors, with 2–4 weeks of initial training.

You will collaborate with teachers, monitor progress, and help lead in-class activities and whole-school initiatives, in a role that emphasizes service and community impact.

Qualifications

• Entry-level AmeriCorps role requiring July 2025 start.
• No prior teaching degree required; training provided.
• Commitment to coaching and mentoring students.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students 1:1 or in small groups.
• Develop literacy and/or math skills with varied activities.
• Record student progress in City Year’s student data system.
• Support teachers with in-class instruction and student assistance.
• Plan and monitor individual student progress.
