Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps members coach and mentor students to earn academic success, improve attendance, and develop positive behaviors at school. As an entry-level, full-time member, you will receive 2-4 weeks of training and work with teachers and staff to support students across classrooms.

You will be eligible for AmeriCorps benefits, including education awards, and bi-weekly living stipend, with location-specific allowances and relocation support.

Qualifications

• Experience in all these tasks is not necessary. We provide 2-4 weeks of training at the beginning of the year to support you.

Responsibilities

• Support academic coaching and interpersonal development for students: work with identified students 1:1 and in small groups.
• Collaborate with teachers and team members to collect, record, analyze and monitor student progress; participate in data reviews.
• Create an engaging, safe and healthy classroom space in collaboration with the teacher.
