Job summary

City Year in New Hampshire is seeking an entry-level, full-time Student Success Coach and Mentor to support students from elementary to high school. You will help students achieve academic success, improve attendance, and develop positive behaviors under City Year AmeriCorps.

You will receive 2–4 weeks of training at the start of the year and collaborate with teachers and school staff to monitor progress and support instructional activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in coaching and mentoring students is beneficial but not required.
• Plan and monitor student progress and work with teachers on instruction.
• Develop literacy and math skills through varied activities and positive reinforcement.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students 1:1 and in small groups.
• Develop literacy and math skills with differentiated activities.
• Create and implement behavior management and classroom engagement strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and data in City Year systems.
• Support school initiatives and attend to student attendance and participation.
