City Year is seeking an entry-level, full-time AmeriCorps member to coach and mentor students across elementary to high school in New Hampshire. You will plan and monitor student progress, support teachers, and help create engaging, supportive classroom environments.

The role includes training at the start of the year and ongoing collaboration with teachers and school staff to boost attendance, literacy and math skills, and positive behaviors, while gaining valuable service experience and

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college experience or degree preferred.
• Must be eligible for AmeriCorps service.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students 1:1 and in small groups.
• Support literacy and math skills with varied activities.
• Create behavioral management strategies in class.
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress.
• Help maintain a safe, engaging classroom space.
