Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps in New Hampshire is seeking entry-level student success coaches and mentors. As a full-time member, you will coach and mentor students, support teachers, and help raise academic achievement, attendance, and classroom behavior.

The program includes 2–4 weeks of training, ongoing collaboration with teachers and staff, and a comprehensive benefits package through City Year. Eligibility includes U.S.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required.
• 2–4 weeks of training provided at the start of the year.
• Supportive teamwork with teachers and school staff.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor elementary to high school students to foster academic success.
• Plan and monitor student progress and facilitate in-class support.
• Assist with 1:1 and small-group literacy and math activities.
• Help implement behavior management and interpersonal skills development.
• Collaborate with teachers to collect and analyze student data in City Year’s system.
• Create a safe, engaging classroom space in partnership with the teacher.
• Support after-school programs and extended-day activities.
