Job summary

City Year, a national AmeriCorps program, is seeking an entry-level Student Success Coach and Mentor in New Hampshire. You will coach and mentor students across elementary to high school levels, helping them achieve academic success, improve attendance, and build positive behaviors in school.

As a City Year AmeriCorps member, you will participate in 2–4 weeks of training and collaborate with teachers and school staff to support literacy, math skills, classroom engagement, and whole-school

Qualifications

• Experience in coaching or mentoring is not required, but a willingness to learn is essential.
• Able to communicate with students, families and school staff.
• Supportive, patient, and student-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 and in small groups with identified students.
• Develop literacy and math activities tailored to level.
• Create and implement a behavior management plan.
• Foster interpersonal skills through daily routines and reflection.
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress.
• Create a safe, engaging classroom space with the teacher.
• Support extended day and virtual programming for students.
• Help recognize student growth through events or programs.
