Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps is seeking an entry-level Student Success Coach and Mentor in Manchester, NH. You will coach and mentor students to boost academic success, attendance, and positive behaviors, while supporting teachers and whole-class instruction.

The role includes 2–4 weeks of training at the start of the year, with ongoing collaboration with school staff. This is a paid, full-time AmeriCorps position with location-specific benefits.

Qualifications

• City Year AmeriCorps members coach and mentor students to achieve academic success.
• You will support literacy, math, attendance, and behavior goals in schools.
• You will plan and monitor individual student progress and work with teachers on classroom support.

Responsibilities

• Work with identified students 1:1 and in small groups.
• Develop literacy and math activities tailored to each student.
• Create and implement a behavior management system.
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor progress and audit data.
• Create a safe, engaging classroom space with teachers.
