Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps members serve as student success coaches and mentors in elementary to high schools. This entry-level, paid, full-time role focuses on coaching and mentoring students to improve academic achievement, attendance, and behavior, with training provided at the start of the year.

You will work with partner teachers and school staff to support individual student progress and contribute to whole-class instruction and school-wide initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Coaching and mentoring students 1:1 and in small groups; plan and monitor student progress
• Collaborate with teachers on in-class instruction and student support
• Support and implement school-wide engagement initiatives with students and families
• Create an engaging, safe, and healthy classroom space in collaboration with teachers
