Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps members serve as student success coaches and mentors in elementary through high school, with paid, full-time commitment. The role focuses on helping students achieve academic success, improve attendance, and develop positive behaviors inside and outside the classroom.

Training is provided (2–4 weeks), and members work closely with teachers and school staff. Benefits include educational awards and a path to growth within the City Year network.

Qualifications

• Be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.
• Be 17–25 by July 1, 2025
• Commitment to completing service with City Year AmeriCorps program

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students to achieve academic success
• Support teachers with classroom instruction and student progress
• Plan and monitor individual student progress and attendance
• Create engaging and safe learning spaces in collaboration with staff
• Participate in training and work with partner teachers and school staff
