Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps members coach and mentor elementary, middle and/or high school students to help them achieve academic success and improve attendance. You will plan and monitor individual progress, work with teachers on in-class instruction, and participate in school-wide initiatives.

• Coaching and mentoring students 1:1 and in small groups
• Support academic coaching and interpersonal development for students
• Create and implement a behavior management system for students
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor and analyze student progress
• Assist with extended day and after-school activities including enrichment and clubs
• Help plan and participate in school-wide engagement initiatives
