Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps members coach and mentor elementary, middle and high school students to boost academic success and improve attendance. You’ll plan and monitor student progress, collaborate with teachers on in-class instruction, and assist with school-wide initiatives and clubs.

Experience is not required; we provide 2–4 weeks of training at the start of the year to support you as you contribute to student growth and a positive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• No specific experience required; 2–4 weeks of training at the start of the year.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students to improve academic success.
• Plan and monitor individual student progress.
• Work with teachers on whole class instruction and in-class student support.
