Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps members coach and mentor students to improve academic outcomes, attendance, and behavior across elementary to high school levels. You’ll plan and track progress, and partner with teachers on in-class supports.

No prior experience required; 2–4 weeks of training are provided. This entry-level, paid, full-time role includes a comprehensive benefits package and relocation support depending on location.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; 2–4 weeks of training provided at the start of the year.
• Ability to work with diverse students and collaborate with teachers.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students 1:1 and in small groups.
• Support literacy and math development with varied activities.
• Help create a safe, engaging classroom space with teachers.
• Monitor student progress and participate in data reviews.
