Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps members coach and mentor students to help them achieve academic success, improve attendance and develop positive behaviors in school communities. You will plan and monitor individual progress and collaborate with teachers on in-class instruction, breakout spaces and student support.

As a City Year AmeriCorps member, you will receive 2–4 weeks of initial training, ongoing guidance from partner teachers, and opportunities to grow through service in schools across Massachusetts.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; 2–4 weeks of training provided.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with students and teachers.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students to improve academics.
