Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps members coach and mentor students to improve academic success and attendance. You will partner with teachers to support in-class instruction and student development, planning targeted activities and monitoring progress throughout the year.

A training period is provided, and you will collaborate with school staff to create a positive, engaging learning environment and contribute to school-wide initiatives that benefit students and families.

Qualifications

• Experience is not necessary; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students 1:1 and in small groups.
• Support teachers with classroom instruction and student behavior.
• Plan and monitor student progress and participate in reviews.
