Job summary

Cartwheel is seeking a Mental Health Therapist to join a mission-driven, interdisciplinary care team. This 100% remote contractor role works with school staff, students, and families in Cartwheel’s partner districts to improve mental health supports and outcomes.

The position emphasizes teletherapy, collaboration, and flexible scheduling, including after-school hours. Independent NH licensure and experience with evidence-based therapies are required.

Qualifications

• Active independent license in New Hampshire to deliver mental health care (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PhD/PsyD).
• Experience with CBT, DBT, ACT, solution-focused therapy and/or motivational interviewing.
• Two+ years delivering mental health services to children/youth via telehealth.
• Reliable high-speed internet (50 Mbps down / 10 Mbps up).
• Excellent organization, communication, and teamwork; after-school hours preferred.
• Note: NH license allows work anywhere in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health assessments and teletherapy to PreK-12 students and staff in partner districts.
• Participate in case discussions with Cartwheel team members.
• Support transitions to community care providers for students and families.
• Build lasting relationships with school leadership, staff, students and families; regular meetings to discuss needs.
• If qualified, provide clinical supervision to other care team members.
