Job summary

Cartwheel, a mission-driven mental health startup, seeks a Mental Health Therapist (contractor) to work 100% remotely in the United States. The role focuses on school-based mental health support, collaborating with counselors, nurses, and families across partner districts.

Start date is September 2026, with 10–20 hours per week. Responsibilities include teletherapy, assessments, treatment planning with Cartwheel MDs/NPs, and coordinating referrals.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in an accredited field.
• Active GA license to deliver mental health care independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health assessments and teletherapy to students in partner districts.
• Collaborate with school counselors and providers at treatment start and ongoing.
• Build relationships with school staff and families to support mental health needs and school engagement.
• Provide psycho-education and support to parents/caregivers.
• Collaborate with Cartwheel MDs/NPs on treatment planning and care delivery.
• Coordinate with External Referrals to identify community referrals.
• Participate in case consultations with Cartwheel team.
• Support development of Cartwheel’s clinical programming and care team.
