Job summary

Cartwheel is hiring a Mental Health Therapist as a 1099 Independent Contractor for remote work in the United States. You will provide teletherapy and assessments to PreK-12 students through Cartwheel’s partner districts, collaborating with school staff and families to strengthen mental health support systems.

Minimum licensure in Virginia and 2+ years of pediatric telehealth experience are required. Roles involve after-school hours and potential clinical supervision for team members as needed,

Qualifications

• Active independent license in Virginia to deliver mental health care (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PhD/PsyD).
• At least two years of telehealth experience delivering mental health services to children and youth.
• Experience with CBT, DBT, ACT, solution-focused therapy, and/or motivational interviewing.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health assessments and teletherapy to PreK-12 students and school staff in partner districts.
• Participate in case discussions with Cartwheel team members.
• Support students and families with transition to community care providers.
• Build collaborative relationships with school staff and families; discuss needs and strategies.
• If qualified, provide clinical supervision to other care team members.
