Job summary

Cartwheel is seeking a Mental Health Therapist to join a mission-driven, interdisciplinary care team. This 1099 contractor role is 100% remote in the U.S. and focuses on delivering teletherapy and assessments to students in partner districts.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field and an active Indiana license. Flexible hours include after-school slots, with strong collaboration across school staff and families.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with schools on mental health.
• Master’s Degree or higher in relevant field.
• Active license in Indiana to deliver mental health care.
• Experience with CBT, DBT, ACT, solution-focused therapy, or motivational interviewing.
• Experience delivering care via tele-health.
• Strong tech skills and ability to learn new systems (Zoom, GSuite, EHR).
• Reliable internet connection (50 Mbps down / 10 Mbps up).
• Excellent organization, communication, and teamwork.
• Ability to work hours after typical school day (e.g., 3–8 pm Eastern).

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health assessments and teletherapy to middle and high school students in Cartwheel’s partner districts.
• Participate in case discussions with Cartwheel team members.
• Support students and families with transition to community mental health and primary care providers.
• Build collaborative relationships with school leadership, staff, students, and families.
• If qualified, provide clinical supervision to other care team members.
