Job summary

IMEG is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to play a lead role in detailing and designing structural systems for a variety of projects across the Midwest. You will coordinate with engineers, consultants, and clients to ensure design integrity and on-schedule delivery.

The position emphasizes collaboration, mentoring, and continuous learning within a large ESOP company with flexible, hybrid scheduling and broad market exposure in healthcare, education, housing, and industrial sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• 2+ years of experience minimum; 4+ preferred in building design consulting.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and design of structural systems for buildings and structures.
• Create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations per code and IMEG standards.
• Communicate project needs and progress with clients and internal teams.
• Manage project planning, budgeting, and scheduling to meet deadlines.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Support project execution from bidding through construction administration.
