Job summary

IMEG is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join our Urbandale, IA-based team with flexible Midwest options. You will lead design efforts for low to moderate complexity structures, collaborating with senior staff on larger projects, delivering engineering solutions through analysis, design, and oversight.

You will work with engineers, consultants and cross‑functional teams to support project execution, budgeting, scheduling, mentoring, and client communication across healthcare, education,

Qualifications

• BS in Civil/Structural/Architectural Eng or equivalent required.
• PE license preferred.
• 2 years min experience; 4 preferred in building design consulting.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and design of structural systems.
• Create designs, specs, and calculations per codes and IMEG standards.
• Collaborate with clients to understand needs and communicate technical information.
• Mentor less experienced staff on projects.
• Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Document design decisions and monitor progress.
