Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking an Account Executive to identify leads, prospect, and sell our full suite of waste and recycling services within a defined US territory.

You will present to prospective clients, follow up with key decision makers, and close opportunities, while maintaining records in Salesforce and meeting monthly revenue targets. You should have at least 2 years of direct selling experience, a valid driver’s license, and ideally experience in the waste or service industry.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years direct selling experience in a customer-facing role.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Waste or service industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identifies viable leads, manages prospects and acquires new, profitable commercial, industrial and recycling business to meet revenue goals.
• Follows up on leads quickly and creates follow-up tasks to determine next steps in Salesforce.
• Sells the full suite of Republic Services products and total waste stream management solutions.
• Prepares and delivers sales presentations to prospective clients; follows up with decision makers to close sales.
• Performs cold calling to establish appointments with decision-makers.
• Keeps informed on market behavior and competitive trends to anticipate customer needs.
• Maintains knowledge of services, pricing structures, and cross-sells additional services.
• Completes required paperwork and regularly reviews activity with Sales Manager.
• Participates in events to increase company visibility.
