Job summary

Encore Global is seeking a Sales Manager, Venues in Detroit to guide customers through event experiences and identify AV-based solutions that meet their goals, maximizing revenue with hotel partners. You will use Encore’s processes to present quotes and coordinate with vendors, while building strong relationships with venue staff and internal teams.

The role requires knowledge of the hospitality industry, technical aptitude, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS/BA or 1+ years of Encore or equivalent experience.
• 1 year technology sales or hospitality experience preferred.
• Prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus.
• Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred.
• Technical aptitude and computer proficiency required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach.
• Effectively prepare and present quotes and proposals to customers.
• Collaborate with vendors and other departments to service events.
• Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings and venue meetings as necessary.
• Understand event cost structure and incorporate into solution designs per profitability guidelines.
• Deliver world-class service by cultivating and maintaining relationships with customers and venue personnel.
• Research customer history to create personalized experiences.
• Attend customer meetings and respond to questions and challenges.
• Ensure customer information is up to date in the CRM.
• Guide customers through Encore network to secure additional opportunities.
• Maintain a healthy pipeline to achieve revenue targets.
• Keep CRM opportunities accurate and updated.
• Support sales forecasting at home location.
• Learn and adopt SOPs and new initiatives.
