Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking an Account Director, Utility to manage and grow a strategic utility customer relationship in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. You will coordinate with customer executives, internal teams, and project groups to identify opportunities and drive long-term account growth.

The role combines relationship management, strategic planning, and sales execution while coaching team members to ensure a consistent customer experience and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering, technical, or business discipline is required.
• MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in customer-facing sales roles is expected.
• Experience managing direct reports is preferred.
• Exposure to multiple products, customers, geographies, or market segments is desirable.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a matrixed team and strong stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with utility executives and key stakeholders.
• Develop and execute account plans aligned with customer priorities and business goals.
• Coordinate resources across business units to deliver customer value.
• Identify and advance growth opportunities within the assigned account.
• Facilitate complex commercial discussions and negotiations.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and support timely resolution of issues.
• Support capture planning and strategic project pursuits.
• Coach account team members to ensure effective execution and engagement.
