Job summary

Hitachi Energy seeks an Account Director, Utility to manage and grow a strategic utility customer relationship in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. You will coordinate across business units, align priorities with solutions, and drive long-term account growth, with focus on grid reliability and modernization.

You will coach team members, coordinate resources, and participate in major pursuits while ensuring a consistent customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical, or business required.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Work authorization to work in the United States.
• Experience in customer-facing sales roles in energy.
• Experience managing direct reports preferred.
• Exposure to multiple products, customers, geographies, or market segments.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a matrixed team environment.
• Solid business acumen with understanding of customer priorities and market trends.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with utility executives and stakeholders.
• Develop and execute account plans aligned with customer priorities and business goals.
• Coordinate resources across multiple business units to deliver customer value.
• Identify, qualify, and advance growth opportunities within the assigned account.
• Facilitate complex commercial discussions and negotiations.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and support timely resolution of significant issues.
• Support capture planning, opportunity development, and strategic project pursuits.
• Coach and coordinate account team members to ensure effective execution and customer engagement.
