Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA INC is seeking an Account Director, Utility to manage and grow a strategic utility customer relationship. You will coordinate resources across business units to deliver value, work with utility executives, and shape account strategies for grid reliability and infrastructure planning.

In this senior role, you will lead negotiations, align priorities with solutions, and guide cross-functional teams to drive customer outcomes in a rapidly evolving energy landscape.

Qualifications

• U.S. work authorization required to work for Hitachi Energy.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in account management or sales.
• Experience in energy sector sales and matrixed organizations.
• Strong business acumen and customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall relationship with a strategic utility account as the primary contact.
• Develop and execute strategic account plans aligning priorities with Hitachi solutions.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to support customer initiatives and growth.
• Lead complex commercial discussions and negotiations with customer organizations.
• Monitor satisfaction and address significant issues with timely resolutions.
• Maintain awareness of customer strategies and evolving energy needs.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal procedures.
• Collaborate with executives and stakeholders to drive value and outcomes.
