Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking an Account Director, Utility to manage and grow a strategic utility relationship in the St. Louis, Missouri area.

You will serve as the primary liaison between the customer and Hitachi Energy, coordinating resources to deliver value through the customer lifecycle. In this role you'll lead strategic account plans, drive commercial discussions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address grid modernization and reliability challenges.

Qualifications

• Work authorization to work in the United States.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or business.
• MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in customer-facing sales in the energy industry.
• Experience working with diverse products, customers, market segments, or regions.
• Proven ability to operate in a matrixed organization.
• Experience in customer relationship management, sales and problem resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall relationship with a strategic utility account and serve as the primary customer contact.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with customer stakeholders, including senior executives.
• Develop and execute strategic account plans aligning customer priorities with solutions and services.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to support customer initiatives and growth opportunities.
• Identify, prioritize and advance opportunities that increase customer value and account growth.
• Facilitate complex commercial discussions and negotiations with customer organizations.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve significant issues promptly.
• Maintain awareness of customer strategies and market developments.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
