Job summary

Wesco is seeking a Senior Specialist - Technical Sales in Phoenix, AZ to drive large project wins through expert technical and commercial leadership. The role includes pre- and post-sales support, product demonstrations, and ongoing customer engagement to expand specialized product growth.

You will collaborate with the Sales team to identify opportunities, present solutions, and share market insights while traveling up to 50% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business preferred.
• 3+ years electrical industry experience as a manufacturer or distributor.
• 5+ years sales experience in related industry.
• Strong computer skills and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Calls on client, management and representatives, to convince them of desirability of technical products or services offered.
• Provides technical services to clients relating to specified products.
• Markets product specifications and demonstrates technology solutions to customers.
• Gathers, analyzes and shares technical information and solutions to internal and external customers.
• Provides first line of pre/post technical sales support for sales teams.
• Maintains expert knowledge of specified products and acts as domain expert.
• Leads joint sales calls with customers and prospects.
• Assists account representatives in finding new sales opportunities by teaching and guiding.
• Participates in ongoing training to maintain technical competency.
• Understands market conditions and identifies growth opportunities.
• Understands industry trends affecting target markets.
• Promotes value-add products in competitive situations.
• Supports marketing efforts and product launches.
