Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to drive incremental sales growth with professional customers in the Tallahassee area. You will cultivate new relationships, manage an end-to-end sales cycle, and leverage the Pro Sales Manager for guidance while using Salesforce to plan activities and maintain a healthy pipeline.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in sales or related roles and a track record of growth in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• 5 years of professional work experience in sales or related field.
• 2 years account management/sales management experience.
• 2+ years home improvement or home building industry experience is preferred.
• Sales experience in a high-paced retail environment is desirable.
• Ability to build and leverage a network of relationships.
• Strong ability to meet sales and profitability goals through relationship management.
• Deep understanding of Pro customer needs and service expectations.
• Tailor communications to each customer’s preferred method of engagement.
• Strong leadership and negotiation skills; persuasive communicator.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Cross-functional collaboration at district/regional levels; communicate weekly activities with the Pro Sales Manager.
• Cultivate net new sales relationships by representing The Home Depot Pro brand and driving complex business expansion.
• Sell all enterprise products and services, including credit options, pricing programs, delivery, will-call, and online ordering.
• Develop strategies to expand the customer base within the defined sales territory; achieve account targets.
• Manage Salesforce to plan calls, maintain pipeline, and communicate with customers.
• Prospect for new business using internal leads and relationships with existing customers.
