Job summary

Potawatomi Federal Solutions, LLC is actively recruiting for a qualified Payroll Administrator who handles biweekly payroll processing, timesheet validation, payroll tax remittances, and 401k payroll file submissions.

Role requires collaboration with HR, Finance, and Operations to ensure accurate data, timely payments, and adherence to federal/state guidelines. Strong Excel skills and DELTEK/Cognos familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of 941 tax filings and W-2 preparation experience
• 1–5 years of computerized payroll processing and tax filings
• 1 year of multi-state payroll experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Associate’s degree preferred in Business or Bookkeeping
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with DELTEK HR / Payroll systems and Cognos a plus
• Experience processing government payroll a plus
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Detail oriented

Responsibilities

• Coordinate between HR, Payroll and other departments to ensure proper data flow
• Maintain and execute payroll files per company policies
• File state and federal reports and payments on time
• Administer electronic timekeeping system
• Monitor approved timesheets and data transfers to payroll
• Maintain employee records and timely processing of changes
• Answer questions and process payroll-related requests per policies
• Review payroll changes for proper authorization
• Audit payroll docs and adjust as needed
• Compare current payroll with prior payroll to audit discrepancies
• Respond to manager/employee payroll inquiries ( PTO, direct deposit, pay cards, retro pay, taxes)
• Assist in special projects as assigned by Controller
• Other duties as assigned
