Job summary

New Relic, Inc. seeks Solutions Architect to advise customers on their observability journey and to drive strategic engagements across Sales, Engineering, Product, and Marketing.

You will design and implement solution blueprints, align technical work with business value, and influence outcomes with credibility. You will lead expansion initiatives, craft best-practice designs, and measure go-to-market success through the New Relic platform, collaborating with cross-functional teams and customers

Qualifications

• Must-have: 4+ years of professional experience developing in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or Golang.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent).
• Hands‑on experience with OpenTelemetry standards and OSS like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience in observability with New Relic, Splunk, AppDynamics, DataDog, Dynatrace, Grafana Labs, or similar.
• Understanding of Incident Management and SLIs/SLOs."
• Experience with DevOps, SRE, and Platform Engineering service delivery.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud-native technologies - Kubernetes, Docker, serverless.
• Strong presentation and communication skills across technical and executive levels.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical guidance.
• Ability to interact with all customer levels, from executives to developers.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagements with sales and success teams to guide customers toward observability goals using the New Relic platform.
• Document current and target observability states and design gap-closing solutions.
• Engage on-site and remotely to accelerate transformation and observability maturity.
• Create artifacts like reference architectures, technical blogs, and conference materials to build trust and credibility.
• Continuously improve technical and communication skills through training, reading, and mentorship.
