Job summary

New Relic, Inc. seeks a Solutions Architect to advise customers on observability strategies and to drive adoption of the New Relic platform.

You will collaborate with sales, engineering, product management, and marketing to design strategic engagements and deliver practical architectures that translate technical solutions into measurable business value. The role requires 4+ years in software development, strong experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, and cloud-native stacks

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience developing in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or Golang.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience with observability platforms such as New Relic, Splunk, AppDynamics, DataDog, or Dynatrace.
• Understanding of Incident Management and SLI/SLO measurement approaches.
• Experience with DevOps, SRE, and Platform Engineering service delivery.
• Hands-on with cloud-native technologies - Kubernetes, Docker, serverless.
• Strong presentation and communication skills at technical and executive levels.
• Ability to analyze and translate business requirements into solutions.
• Excellent communication across customer levels, from executives to practitioners.

Responsibilities

• Lead blueprint engagements with sales and technical success managers to guide observability goals.
• Document current and desired state of observability and design solutions for gaps.
• Engage with customers on-site and remotely to accelerate transformation and maturity.
• Build credibility in observability space through artifacts like reference architectures and blogs.
